Waiting for God...

Waiting for God to give me something to say. If He doesn't, there will be a whole lot of nothing here. Whole lot of nothing .... that's a pretty good description of what some preachers are saying. But they sure say it well.

Thank you for the comment on my blog. Many wait for God to tell them something, but when he does they don't listen. There is a joke about that actually. A man was sitting on his roof... There had been a great flood and the water was raising. He prayed "God please save me" over and over he prayed this after a little while a boat passed him and the driver said, "Hail brother, come and join me and we will be saved from the flood" the man on the roof replied, "That is okay, God will save me" the boat passed the man. Later an aircraft passed by, "Hello down there, if you climb the ladder, we will take you to safety" The man replied once again, "No, I am good, God will save me" Craft after craft passed the man and time after time he told those trying to save him God will save me... Finally the water overwhelmed the man and he drowned. When he finally met God, he asked God, "Lord, I was faithful to you, why didn't you save me" God's reply was simple, "I did try to save you, you weren't listening, I sent rafts, boats and planes, but time after time you turned them down."

This is what I think has happened to many. They expect God to save them, but they refuse to accept the form that the help comes in. They aren't listening to what God tells them, or when they are, they don't realize what it is until it is too late.
